Description

The MP3 box is headless, no-harddrive, no-floppy drive Linux system. It boots from a PXE server, mounts its filesystem via NFS, and plays MP3 files (the MP3 player is controlled by a remote). Excellent for hooking it up a stereo system and playing MP3 files from your NFS server (which presumably will house +20GB of your MP3's and will be easy to manage).

For information on how to build it, where to get software, how much it cost, etc, check out the informatin in HTML-form, Text, PDF and PostScript. The file that is referred in the document is also available for download - mpeg-box-project.tgz (27MB).
